I'm an artist at my very core. A maker. A crafter. I like to tinker and create. I like to build things and solve problems. All of those activities involve design and creativity.
Design offers possibilities. Great design solves problems. All of it goes hand in hand. And it is intrinsically woven into my life and mindset.
Design is an integral part of who I am.
I have the "old school" design sensibilities with a love of new technology and progressive, forward-thinking concepts and I strive for excellence in both my personal and professional life.
Experience
I’m a Creative Director with 20 years of experience. With both agency and client-side experience, I have worked with top-tier Chicago firms such as Ogilvy and SamataMason and directed design projects for Fortune 500 companies such as Dow Chemical and non-profit organizations like Boys Hope Girls Hope. My passion lies in the transformative power of design and its ability to improve lives, connect people and help businesses grow. As a conceptual thinker with a hands-on approach, I am adept at translating complex business challenges into compelling branded solutions. I take strategic vision and bring it to life by implementing a modern, holistic approach, helping brands to define their purpose and by redefining what good looks like. I pride myself on pushing creative boundaries and exceeding client expectations.

History
Most of my design journey has been as a freelancer. It has provided me with the flexibility I need to raise a family and has given me a wide variety of experience and working knowledge of this industry that a long-term company employment could not have offered.
My partner of 22 years is also a designer. A few years ago, we were given a great opportunity to combine our talents and start our own agency, PXL Graphics. We have been honored to work with big name brands and are excited about the work we have produced.
