Will County lies in North Eastern Illinois just outside of Chicago’s Cook County. It is a region rich with history, outdoor adventures and experiences for the whole family ⎯⎯ many of which are hidden gems that are rarely known about and seldomly promoted. A freshly branded website and advertising campaign was in need in order to:

Build awareness
Inspire travelers
Increase area bookings
Drive loyalty among visitors

To achieve these goals, a holistic brand approach was used to develop a logo and marketing campaign that were then applied to a website, social media and print advertising.

The tagline of “Where there’s a WILL, there’s a way” was a natural fit that kicked off this project. The logo has a classic tourism appeal that also highlights the county’s territory. A distinctly mid-western color palette, engaging photography and approachable typography round out the branding when applied across all media.

The VisitWill.com website is the foundation of the campaign to help drive tourism to the area. Social media and print advertising drive users to this site for a wealth of information on planning their next adventure in Will County.

Tone of voice plays an important role in inspiring users to become visitors. We’ve paired approachable content with typography and photography that are both casual and fun to engage travelers.

An area map feature on the website is another digital element that enhances the overall brand experience and helps drive traffic to the areas top attractions.

Advertising Campaign

Will County’s top attractions are highlighted here with our campaign tagline and clean and simple branding. The print advertising is featured in local travel magazines. The billboard was created specifically for Chicago transit station markets to inspire urban dwellers to venture out to the suburbs for their next weekend adventure.
